About Pete Smith Pete Smith has work experience on a Colorado cattle ranch, in German National Archives, teaching English in South Korea, taking a high-tech web company public, and following war crimes trials in Guatemala and Argentina. He went to college at Reed in Portland, Oregon, graduate school at University of California, Berkeley, and law school at Denver University’s Sturm College of Law. Pete has worked for District Court judges in both criminal and civil divisions, in the Colorado State Attorney General’s Natural Resources Unit, and for clients as various as roads, reservoirs, and pharmaceutical companies. His goal is to help families to stay united in this country by making family business into a company, making sure family property stays in the family, and making sure hard work is translated into wealth.
