Mcshin Foundation

The McShin Foundation was founded in Richmond, Virginia years ago by husband and wife duo John Shinholser and Carol McDaid to fill a void they saw in the care of Richmonders seeking recovery and addiction treatment in Richmond, VA. McShin Foundation provides a variety of treatment options, including residential and outpatient programs. We are a non-profit organization that provides treatment for substance abuse, mental health problems, and dual diagnosis in Richmond, VA. Our mission is to provide the highest quality of care to all individuals who enter our program through an integrated approach. Our continuum of care consists of detoxification, drug treatment, and aftercare counseling. We also offer day treatment programs for those who need more support than the average outpatient program can offer.
