Cafe Demetrio

Café Demetrio is about the complete coffee experience. We provide a way for our patrons to escape from the world, while they share time with us. We aren't just known for our coffee, but for our ambiance, service, and great food. Visit us! Coral Gables' first coffee house, Café Demetrio, offers the coffee lover a pinnacle of class, taste, and returns to the original concept of the coffee house that once flourished in 18th Century European cafes: a meeting spot where poets, intellectuals, artists, and working citizens could spend an afternoon pondering the great questions of mankind. The owners, Demetrio and Vilma Pina, a husband and wife team, built the cafe on the original 1920's premises of Coral Gables' first newspaper. Patrons are invited to linger for a while in the patio to enjoy the South Florida weather, play a game of chess, or just sit and enjoy a quiet moment over a steaming cappuccino.
